This place was recommended here, and I decided to test it out, arriving just before noon. Arriving at the bar, I was promptly seated at a table and ordered the famous dish, the francesinha. It took a good twenty minutes to arrive after ordering, delivered to my table by an older gentleman who may have been the proprietor. I suspect that the francesinha was made fresh, but nobody else was ordering food. Anyhow, it tasted great! The bar had an interesting ambiance; it was clearly a local place, with construction and city workers coming and going. I highly recommend visiting if you want the tea Porto food experience!

La señora muy amable y paciente con mi portugués de principiante. Alcancé pedir café, jugo, un croissant de jamón con queso y un pastelito de zanahoria con coco (delicioso!). El desayuno fue MUY rico y económico en un ambiente limpio y agradable.

Finally a place that doesn't overcharge for a small coffee! A simple place with nice paintings on the wall and the staff make an effort.

If it's not the best Francesinha in Porto, it's the better priced. Amazing, local and far from hordes of tourist. A must.
